Performance Masking Tape

3M masking tape 2364 is a 6.5mil crepe paper tape for general masking applications in the industrial market, where good holding power and temperature performance is required. It has a natural/synthetic rubber adhesive blend. 2364 has been laboratory tested on painted steel panels and found to remove cleanly at bake temperatures up to 300°F for thirty minutes. The actual temperature and time performance may be higher or lower for a given application. Clean removal can vary depending on surface type, processing conditions, type of paint involved, as well as the temperature of the surface at removal. It has reliable masking and clean removal on surfaces for functional coatings or paints. 2364, a Class II (Silver) masking product is also used for splicing & heavy duty maintenance.

It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.

Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.

Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
