***Discontinued*** Aluminum Foil Tape (Linered)
Discontinued A 3.0 mil. dead soft aluminum foil backing with a solvent resistant adhesive on an easy release paper liner. This tape is ideal for such applications as electroplating or paint strip masking in the aircraft industry. Reflective backing provides excellent reflection for both heat and light. Its very low moisture vapor transmission rate makes 417 and 429 tapes good candidates for a sealant. Excellent for electroplating of aluminum due to any adhesive transfer that is more easily cleaned up than 425 tape. Performance range from -65°F to over 300°F continuously although higher tmperatures have been known for shorter periods of time. Best results obtained when applied to a clean dry surface above 40°F. Store in a clean dry place at 60 - 80°F and 40 - 50% relative humidity no longer than 12 months from date of manufacture.

It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.
Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
