442W
High Tack Double Coated Film Tape
A 4.0 mil. thin polyester backed tape with a rubber adhesive ideal for bonding a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials such as rubbers, metals, glass, paper, paints and many plastics. The 830 firm rubber based adhesive provides good anchorage to the carrier, giving one piece removal characteristics. 830 adhesive also gives a combination of high shear holding power, good high temperature performance, good solvent resistance and good adhesion to a wide variety of materials. 442W tape includes a film carrier which adds dimensional stability for aid in removal and easier handling during slitting and die-cutting. Initial tape application below 50°F is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is generally satisfactory.

It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.
Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
