P234 is a 2.5 mil, polypropylene, electrical insulating tape. It is designed to provide a tough, tear and abrasion resistant outer protective coil wrap in small bobbin wound telecommunications relay coils and solenoid coils, especially where continuous operating temperatures do not exceed 85° C. P234 is also used for holding other insulation in place in the manufacture of stick wound coils rated 105° C continuous.
