P262

***Discontinued*** Non-Woven Electrical Insul.

DISCONTINUED BY PERMACEL Please use Compare-A-Tape to locate a substitute. P262 is a 3.5 mil, electrical insulating tape. It is a flatback Nomex(R) backing with an acrylic thermoset adhesive that is flame retardant and solvent resistant. Unique among insulating tapes: high thermal rating and flame retardancy, along with thinness. An outstanding tape for holding and insulating functions. Widely used to hold non-adhesive ground, barrier and layer insulation in place; to anchor winding starts and ends; to hold edge turns in place; to repair insulation on Nomex-wrapped conducters at splices and terminations; and, as coil end insulation on small stick wound coils. In small motors, P262 is valued for insulating connections, bundling end turns and in multiple layers as ground insulation for small field coils. Also recommended for use in components for home entertainment and telecommunications where flame retardancy is essential.

It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.

Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.

Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
