P271 is obsolete the alternate is 749BM. It is a 6.5 mil, flatback paper used for electronic component, reel packaging and sequencing tape. It is the most widely used, highest performance tape available for sequencing axial lead electronic components for automated machine assembly of circuit boards. P271 is also used extensively for reel packaging.
