High Termp./High Tensile Silicone Splicing Tape

P904HD is a 3 mil, high termperature/high tensile, polyester splicing tape. It is engineered specifically to splice silicone-coated papers and substrates under high tensile & temperatures. Ideally suited for joining lightweight films and papers that require high tensile/non-stretch splicing tape for wrinkle-free splices. Also used as an adhesive flash masking tape in metal bonding process.

Product Features

  • Bonds quickly and permanently to silicone-treated surfaces
  • Adhesive does not transfer upon removal
  • Adhesion to emulsion-coated silicone liner = 20 oz/in
  • Adhesion to solvent-coated silicone liner = 15 oz/in
  • 180° shear adhesion to emulsion-coated silicone liner = 18 lbs/in
  • 180° shear adhesion to solvent-coatd silicone liner = 18.5 lb/in
  • Unwind @ 150 FPM = 30 oz/in
  • Heavy, high tensile/low stretch polyester backing makes P-904HD ideal for splicing lightweight substrates that tend to wrinkle or distort if the tape is stretched during application

The physical properties listed are typical values and are not to be considered as specifications. Our suggestions for use are based on tests we believe to be reliable. However, the purchaser must carry out their own tests to determine the suitability of the product for their internal use. Information is given in good faith, but without warranty.

It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.

Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.

Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
