High Strength Nick Resistant Tear Tape
53497 is a 5.9 mil, tensilized polypropylene TPP spool wound tear tape. The specially extruded backing has excellent nick resistance when opening cartons and envelopes, ensuring easy one piece removal everytime. The ultra aggressive SIS adhesive provides a durable bond to a variety of corrugated and paper board grades. The silicone release system provides easy, quiet removal from the roll. It is available in a variety of lengths and widths for application flexibility. 53497 is used in heavy duty package reinforcement providing easy opening of corrugated and solid board boxes. Also used for tearstrip for courier envelopes and boxes.
