***Discontinued*** Aluminum Foil Tape

*Discontinued by 3M suggested alternate is 427 A 3.0 mil. dead soft aluminum foil backing with a solvent resistant adhesive ideal for such applications as electroplating or paint strip masking in the aircraft industry. Reflective backing provides excellent reflection for both heat and light. Excellent for electroplating of aluminum due to any adhesive transfer that is more easily cleaned up than 425 tape. Its very low moisture vapor transmission rate makes 417 and 429 tapes good candidates for a sealant. Performance range from -65°F to over 300°F continuously although higher temperatures have been known for shorter periods of time. Best results obtained when applied to a clean and dry surface above 40°F. Store in a clean dry place at 60 - 80°F and 40 - 50% relative humidity no longer than 12 months from date of manufacture.
