- Backing is a transparent polyester film
- Silicone adhesive with a green pigment
- Allover color is translucent green
- Polyester film is abrasion, chemical and thermal resistant
- Polyester film also retains flexibility from -60°F to 350°F
- Silicone adhesive is chemical resistant
- Silicone adhesive also has heat resistance as compared with acrylics
- Silicone adhesive is easy and clean removable
- Resists failures from backing breakdown or shrinkage
- Reduces failures due to undercutting or splice slippage
- Resists failures due to softening and oozing
- Reduces clean up due to adhesive transfer
Adhesive Tape Applications
- Masking edges overlap seams in metal bonding process
- Excess epoxy ("flash") flows onto the tape
- Clean up is complete when tape is removed
- Protective overall mask on panels subject to mild caustic or acid bath etching and to prevent scratches during handling prior to bonding operations
- Holding of parts or vacuum bags during bonding operation
- Mask for metal in acid or caustic chemical milling baths
- Paint mask for areas subject to high temperature bake cycles
- Splicing of silicone liners and papers
