9553SL is a 3.5 mil double coated tape with a polyester carrier. This double coated film tape feaures a thin polyester for dimensional stability and improved and handling with ease of die-cutting an laminating. The 3M acrylic PSA adhesive 220 has a good balance of peel and cohesive strength and is a very good general purpose, smooth caliper controlled, transparent acrylic adhesive.

Product Features
- Shear properites 1/2" x 1" - 1000g @ R.T. 10,000 minutes to faliure or slip
- 3M adhesive 220 increases as a function of time and temperature
- Good die-cutting and kiss-cutting properties with steel rule die and hard tooling

- High humidity has minimal effect on adhesive performance
- Name plates and decorative trim are not adversely affected by outdoor exposure
- Immersion in water has no appreciable effect on the bond strength
- Holds securely after exposure to numerous chemicals including gasoline, oil, "Freon"TF, sodium chloride solutions, mild acids and alkalis
