245-5
Skived PTFE
245-5 is a 5 mil, skived PTFE film with high temperature acrylic adhesive which can withstand temperatures to 400°F. The PTFE film is etched on back side to provide a bondable surface.
This tape is used primarily for down-hole cable splicing which requires good adhesive strength at elevated temperatures. It also is used in electrical applications requiring good electrical insulation where silicone adhesives are not permitted.
