Glass Cloth/Foil Masking Tape
D/W 496 is a 14 mil, glass cloth/aluminum foil masking tape used in plasma flame spraying. These layers are laminated "double-ply" of silicone rubber, glass cloth, aluminum foil & coated with a high temperature silicone adhesive. It is used when a single ply tape will not provide sufficient protection. The double ply construction eleminates the need for two hand layup operations, thus saving labor cost.
