**Discontinued**tesa® 4831 is a silicone free masking tape made of a PET/non-woven backing and an acrylic adhesive. It is especially designed for highly demanding applications such as pre-bond masking, composite manufacturing and metal sandwich construction. Thanks to its robust PET/non-woven backing and acrylic adhesive, it can be exposed to high pressure and high temperatures of up to 180 °C. It is silicone-free, which makes a contamination of the surfaces with silicone adhesive impossible. Subsequent process steps such as bonding of windows with glue or paint coating can therefore be carried out with maximum reliability avoiding time consuming cleaning in subsequent process step
