Discontinued 4988 is a 5 mil, reinforced transfer tape, featuring a high performance acrylic adhesive. As a result of the reinforcement, tesa 4988 outperforms standard transfer tapes in terms of higher shear resistance and overall better handling characteristics. This innovation reduces edge picking and oozing as well as facilitating various converting processes. The specially formulated adhesive allows for high temperature reisistance, superior age and UV resistance.
