Budnick's Shipping & Receiving Team: The Men Behind the Scenes

A lot of factors go into achieving a 98% on-time delivery rate. To meet this standard, we need dedicated people and proven systems at every step. However, our Shipping/Receiving team are a very critical component in getting your material to you in good shape and on-time.

We emphasize hiring and retaining intelligent and dedicated professionals for our Shipping/Receiving Team. Over the years, we've developed tools like: Shipping Dashboard, Shipment TV Monitor, Routing Guides, a Night Shift Coordinator, and a Double Check system to ensure your product leaves on time and ships via the safest and fastest carrier.

These tools give our Shipping Team vision to coordinate shipments with our production team before materials even make it through production. Routing guides also ensure we meet the customized directions of each individual customer.

Scott is the fearless leader of this team. He has performed almost every job in production in his nearly 12 years at Budnick. He works until the job is done or the customer is completely satisfied, and he's one of the smartest guys around here! Read on to see Scott's answers to a few questions we asked him.

What is your favorite part about working for Budnick?

SP: The teamwork. Not just within my own department, but interdepartmentally. Everyone pulls in the same direction.

What does your workspace look like?

SP: Organized disarray.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

SP: I played soccer in Europe, not professionally, not particularly well, and only for two weeks. But I did play.
