Meet Our Purchasing Manager, Christy K.!

Christy K. celebrated her one-year anniversary with Budnick this summer. Read below to learn more about her!

What do you like most about your job?

CK: What I like most about my job is working in a challenging environment where every day brings new obstacles to overcome and goals to achieve—it keeps me on my toes and I'm constantly learning. I appreciate being part of a women-owned company where the owners are hands-on and genuinely care about their employees. That level of leadership and support truly shapes a positive culture, and it's a workplace I’m proud to be part of. I also value that my team and fellow leaders are driven, knowledgeable about the industry, and always willing to support my growth.

What has been your favorite project at Budnick?

CK: My favorite project so far has been developing KPIs for Budnick's Purchasing department. This project has been especially rewarding because it lays the groundwork for future growth, fostering stronger strategic relationships with key vendors. By creating clear performance metrics, we're not only ensuring better vendor performance, but also improving service to our customers. It’s exciting to see how this initiative will drive long-term success for the company.

CK: Strategic, Analytical, Collaborative

What are some fun facts about you?

CK: Outside the office, I’m happily married to my husband of 25 years and the proud mom of five daughters. Our home is also shared with 11 dogs (mostly doodles and one chihuahua), a goat that believes it’s part of the pack, chickens, rabbits, and even a turkey.
